Obituary for Francisco Salvador
Francisco Salvador, 98, of Ludlow passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday November 30, 2019. Born in New Bedford to the late Maxemino and Palmira (Carneiro) Salvador he has lived in Ludlow for many years and was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. Francisco worked at Savage Arms before his retirement in 1974 and also Co-Owned Highland Club Beverage with his brother Fernando, he loved big cars and he enjoyed gardening. He leaves his beloved wife of 73 years Theresa (Thompson) Salvador of Ludlow; loving children Sandra LaLonde and husband David of Hampden, Francisco Salvador Jr. and wife Deborhea of Florida, David Salvador of Ludlow and Kenneth Salvador and wife Maria of Ludlow; 9 adored grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; caring sister Cacilda Ferreira, brothers Joaquim and Armando of Ludlow as well as several caring nieces, nephews and extended family and friends including Cheryl Salvador. Sadly he was predeceased by siblings; Fernando, Delmino, Horacio and Miquelena. Francisco’s family would like to thank his caregivers Andrea, Lynn and Almae for the care they provided to him. Funeral services for Francisco will be held on Thursday December 5, 2019 from the Ludlow Funeral Home. Visiting hours are Thursday morning from 8:30-10:15am with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations In his name to the Alzheimers Association at alz.org or the American Cancer Society at cancer.org.
