Frederick A. Garlick, of Wilbraham, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2023 at the age of 96. Fred was born on March 14, 1927 in Bristol, CT to Eugene and Gladys (Markham) Garlick. He was the longtime owner and operator of Garlick Service Station as well as a courier for the former Medical West, and upon retirement, he made deliveries for the former Creative Flowers in Ludlow. Fred was a member of the Moose Lodge in Chicopee, and in his spare time, he enjoyed listening to Polka music, taking long road trips, and had a passion for all things John Deere; but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family and friends. Fred was predeceased by his former wife Pearl (Robinson) Garlick and his longtime companion Marie Mosio. He was the loving father to Carol Erickson and Husband John of Wilbaham, and the late Frances Garlick, who predeceased him in 1969; a devoted grandfather to Adam Erickson (Amie Wozniak) and Ashley Erickson (Steve Dias); a cherished great-grandfather to Hudson and Olivia Wozniak; a dear brother to the late Lillian Gilbert and late husband Alex; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends including his nephew David Gilbert, wife Cindy, and their family, and Marie Mosio’s children and grandchildren. Visiting hours for Fred will be held on Saturday, September 9th from 9:00am-10:45am in Ludlow Funeral Home concluding with a funeral home chapel service at 11:00am. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Fred’s memory to The Wounded Warrior Project (https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org)
