Obituary for Friedericke "Frieda" (Poetzl) Andre
Friedericke “Frieda” (Poetzl) Andre, 82, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on January 26, 2008 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Czechoslovakia, she has lived in Ludlow for the last 55 years. Frieda enjoyed German music, crocheting, bingo, movies, flowers and retirement, but most of all she loved being a mother and grandmother and nothing made her happier than being with family and friends. Frieda was predeceased by her beloved husband Jacintho, who passed away in 1999. She leaves her loving daughter Helen Edgar of Springfield and a son Ronald Andre of Ludlow; cherished grandchildren Chelsey Edgar of Virginia Beach, Derek Edgar of Ludlow and Lenna and Trina Andre of Ludlow, her two great-grandsons, Daniel and Brandon as well as many close family members in Germany. Funeral services will be held on Thursday Morning January 31st, 2008. A chapel service at the funeral home, with Monsignor Homer Gosselin presiding, will begin at 11:00am with visitation preceding the service from 9:30-11:00am; burial will follow in Island Pond Cemetery.
