Obituary for Fritz Huber Sr.
Fritz A. Huber Sr., 87, of Ludlow was called safely home on Saturday July 8, 2006.  Born in Springfield he has lived in Ludlow for the past 54 years and was a faithful communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church.  Fritz worked for the former Monsanto Company as a shift leader, retiring in 1987, he served his country honorably as a Major in the United States Air Force during WWII and his many honors include the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal and the Purple Heart.  He was predeceased by his beloved wife Judith (Martin) Huber who passed away in 1980 and will be sadly missed by his loving family; his son Fritz “Tony” Huber Jr. of Ludlow; daughters Deborah Labonte and her husband George of Chicopee and Dianne Cummings and her husband Jerry of Orlando, FL; grandchildren Christopher Cummings, Brian Labonte, Cyndy Cousineau, Andrea Cummings; great-grandchildren KC Cousineau, Cameron Cousineau, Cayley Cousineau, Nathan Labonte, Kenzie Cousineau, and Marley DeSantis; sisters Elsa Huber , Florence Zepke, Emily Doyle all of Springfield and Betty Tetreault of Adams.  Fritz was also predeceased by his two brothers Anton Huber and Henry Huber.  Funeral services with Military Honors will be held Thursday July 13, 2006 at 9:00am from Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Mary of the Assumption Church followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery.  Visiting hours are Wednesday evening from 7-9pm and donation’s may be made in Fritz’s memory to St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Cedar St. Ludlow, MA.
