Obituary for George A. Hunt
George A. Hunt, 81, of Springfield, was called back into God’s care, on Saturday, October 7, 2006, with his loving family at his side. .   Born in Springfield, he was a retired heavy equipment mechanic for Lane Construction Co. of Westfield, and a   member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local #98. George proudly served his country during WWII with the US Marine Corp. He leaves his wife of 57 years, Marjorie (Fish) Hunt, 2 daughters; Maxine Amos of Palmer and Dianne Hunt-Mason of Essex Ct., a brother Maxwell Jr. of Chicopee, 3 grandchildren; Raymond Mason, Jill Ingalls and Paul Amos, as well as a cherished great granddaughter , Hailey Ingalls. He was also predeceased by a brother Charles Hunt. Committal Services will be held Wednesday morning at 11 AM at the Ma. Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Visiting hours will be Tuesday evening from 4-8 PM at the Ludlow Funeral Home 432 East St. Ludlow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Shriner’s Hospital 516 Carew St. Springfield 01104, or the International Union of Operating Engineers Local #98 Scholarship Fund, 2 Center Sq., E.
