George Robitaille, 91, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Ludlow in 1934, George was the son of Armand and Marguerite Robitaille. He grew up with strong family values, a deep work ethic, and an appreciation for the outdoors that stayed with him throughout his life.
George graduated from Putnam Trade School in 1953. In 1956, he married the love of his life, Myra Silva, and together they built a beautiful life centered around family, faith, and shared adventures.
For 35 years, George worked at Crucible Steel, where he was known for his dedication and reliability. He retired in 1991, opening the door to the next chapter of his life—one filled with travel, time with loved ones, and enjoying the simple pleasures he cherished most.
An avid outdoorsman, George found peace and happiness in nature. He loved hunting, ice fishing, camping, skiing, and truly anything that brought him outside. After retirement, he and Myra traveled often, and he never missed an opportunity to cheer on his grandchildren at their sporting events. His presence in the stands was a constant source of encouragement, pride, and joy.
