Obituary for Gerald Dubour
Gerald Francis Dubour ,76, of Ludlow passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Saturday August 30, 2014. Born in Springfield to the late Ernest and Mildred (Miller) Dubour, he was a long time Ludlow resident and a former communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Parish. Gerald was and avid golfer and was the owner and president of National Cargo Company in Indian Orchard for 25 years, prior to that he owned two supermarkets, Jerry’s Supermarket in Chicopee and Shoppers Delight in Hampden. Jerry was proud to belong to the Springfield Lodge of Elks and the Indian Orchard Masonic Lodge. He leaves his beloved wife of 54 years Eleanor (Ashline) Dubour of Ludlow; loving children Donna Dubour of Palmer and Gerald Dubour and his wife Lynn of Ludlow; cherished grandchildren Nicholas Natario, Shellane Natario, Andrew Natario, Natalie Natario, Jacquelyn Dubour and Jonathan Dubour and his adored great-granddaughter Autumn Rae LePage. He also leaves a caring sister and five brothers. Sadly Gerald was predeceased by his daughter Judy Dubour in 1986 as well as his 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
Funeral services for Gerald will be held Saturday morning September 6th, 2014 at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Elizabeths Church at 10:00am followed by burial in St. Michaels Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday evening from 4:00-7:00pm.
