Obituary for Geraldine "Cookie" Hill
Geraldine M “Cookie” (Dias) Hill, 60, of Agawam passed away on June 10, 2008 at Tufts Medical Center, after a long illness.  She was born in Ludlow the daughter of Mary (Duarte) Dias of Agawam and the late Americo Mark Dias.  Cookie was a graduate of St. Anne’s Academy, Marlborough and the Gardner State Hospital Nursing Program, and for many years worked for area doctors as an office manager.  In recent years, she was a faithful and active member of the Bethany Assembly of God in Agawam serving as Deaconess, and also was a co-founder of the Bethany “Love Center”.  She leaves her devoted husband of 41 years, James J. Hill, of Agawam, a daughter Lisa Jeter and her husband Bobby of Lewisburg, Tennessee; two sons Matthew Hill of England and Mark Hill and his wife Kaoruko of Tokyo, Japan.  In addition, she is survived by six grandchildren; Rachel, Hannah and Abigail Jeter, Peyton and Dalton Thompson and Alani Kei Hill; her two brothers Barry Dias of Springfield and Ronald Dias of Wilbraham, as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brother Augusto Sevivas in 2000.  Funeral services will be held Monday morning June 16, at 11 A.M. at Bethany Assembly of God, 580 Main St. Agawam, preceded by a visitation hour from 10-11 A.M., at the church. Burial will be in Hillcrest Park Cemetery and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cookie’s memory to the Bethany Assembly of God Missions, 580 Main St. Agawam, Ma. 01001.
