Obituary for Hans E. Ersing
Hans Ersing, 77, of Wilbraham died peacefully August, 2, 2006 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Springfield he was a longtime Wilbraham resident and worked for many years at Package Machinery in East Longmeadow before his retirement in 1989.  Hans served his country honorably as a member of the United States National Guard. He belonged to the Unity Athletic Club, the Ludlow Elks, Springfield Turn-Verein Inc and was a founder and a volunteer at Fountain Park in Wilbraham. Hans leaves his beloved wife of 45 years Eva (Zina) Ersing of Wilbraham; loving daughters Rosalind Burtch and her husband William of Wilbraham and Linda Schoch and her husband Stephen of Collingswood, NJ; cherished grandchildren Thomas, Kaitlyn, Lyndsey, James, Dana, Maxwell and Samuel; caring brothers Walter Ersing and his wife Mary Alyce of Columbus, OH., Paul Ersing and his wife Carol of Ogunquit, ME., Carl Ersing and his wife Irene of Ludlow, and his sister Hilda Lyon and her husband Leroy of Springfield, as well as leaves several loving nieces, nephews family and friends. Private funeral services will be held on Saturday August 5, 2006. Visiting hours will be held for family and friends on Friday evening from 5-8pm and memorial contributions can be made in Hans’ memory to The Leslie Strathmann Fund at the D’Amour Center for Cancer Care 3350 Main Street, Springfield, MA. 01107. c/o Cathy Rousseau.                                                Â
