Obituary for Helen (Dudek) Gomes
Helen (Dudek) Gomes, 93, of Ludlow was called home to be with God on Sunday, June15th, 2008. Born in Ludlow, she was a lifelong resident, a graduate of Ludlow High School and a communicant of Christ the Parish. Helen attended Bay Path College and worked for many years at Monsanto as a shipping supervisor, before her retirement. She leaves her beloved husband of 43 years, Americo “Mack” Gomes of Ludlow; loving daughters Debra Forcum and her husband Steven of Ludlow and Linda Gomes of Chicopee; cherished grandchildren Steven Forcum and his wife Amie, Michael Forcum and his wife Lindsay, Anne-Marie Forcum, Paul Shaughnessy and Chrispin Shaughnessy; great-grandchildren Christopher Martone, Emma Forcum and Natalie Forcum; caring sister Marion Bialka of Colorado. Helen was predeceased by her sister Charlotte Johnson. Funeral services will be held Friday morning, June 20th, 2008 at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Christ the King Church, followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery.
