Helen P. (Jurkiewicz) Lemek at 96 died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 17, 2023. Daughter of Michael and Stefania (Kozdronkiewicz) Jurkiewicz she was a lifelong resident of Ludlow. She served as Town Clerk for 24 years and belonged to many civic organizations. A faithful communicant of Christ the King Church, she was a member of many Sodalities and helped with food sales, picnics and organizing trips to shrines in Canada. She was instrumental in establishing their Perpetual Adoration Chapel and served as head coordinator. Her day began at the chapel and then morning mass, she loved her church, community and family. Christmas and Easter were especially enjoyed making and serving traditional Polish food to family and friends entertaining, gardening and watching the Red Sox were her favorite pastimes. She will be deeply missed by her daughter Elizabeth Babinski and son Christopher and his wife Debbie Lemek. She was a cherished Babci to 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Sadly, she was predeceased by her husband Stanley, son Michael (Cathy), grandson Aaron Babinski, son-in-law Thomas Babinski and sister Irene Michonski. Funeral services for Helen will be held on Saturday April 22, 2023 from the Ludlow Funeral Home. Visiting hours are Saturday morning from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM with a liturgy of Christian Mass celebrated at 11:00 Am in Christ The King Church followed by burial in Saint Aloysius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Helen’s memory to Christ The King Church, 41 Warsaw Ave., Ludlow or the charity of one’s choice.
