Obituary for Henry J. Fuller
Henry J. Fuller, 86, of Brewster, formerly of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2018 surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Springfield, son of the late Henry and Helen (Progulski) Fuller, he lived most of his life in Ludlow before moving to Brewster 15 years ago. Henry was a United States Air Force veteran proudly serving his country during the Korean War. After his service, Henry began working at American Bosch, where he started his career in the maintenance department while working his way through school. He earned his Masters Degree from WNEC and earned the position of plant manager and eventually Vice President of the company. The company was then bought out by United Technology, where he continued his position as Vice President and ran the company in Italy, Holland, South Carolina, and Springfield before retiring. Henry was an active and devoted member of the First Congregational Church in Ludlow and more recently of the Dennis Union Church where he was an instrumental member of the Pick Up Crew for the annual church fair. He also enjoyed fishing, especially salt water, cooking and sharing his meals with family and friends, gardening, and spending time at the ocean. Henry was a people person and true gentleman who never forgot anyone's name, which were only a few of his many traits that made him appreciated and loved by all who knew him. Henry was the beloved husband of 64 years to Nancy J. (Armitage) Fuller; a loving father to Doug Fuller and wife Denise, of Ludlow, Debbie McDaniel and husband Rick, of Palmer, and Donna Roberts, of Ludlow; a devoted grandfather to Matthew, Kaitlin, Josh, Emily, Brian, and Sarah; an adoring great-grandfather to Liam, Noel, Kora, Claire, Feyona, Keyana, and Addison; a dear brother to the late Joan Engel; and also leaves his loyal dog Zoey; many loving extended family members; and dear friends. Visiting hours for Henry are on Wednesday, January 2nd from 4:00-7:00pm in Ludlow Funeral Home. Funeral services are on Thursday, January 3rd with visitation from 9:15-10:00 am in Ludlow Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 11:00am in First Church of Ludlow concluding with burial with Military Honors in Hillcrest Park Cemetery.
