Obituary for Ida Marelli
Ida Jean (Piangerelli) Marelli, 94, passed away on Wednesday December 7, 2016. Born in Ludlow, she was the daughter of Albert and Colomba (Basili) Piangerelli. A lifelong resident, she graduated from Ludlow High School in 1940 and worked for 28 years as a secretary for Shawnigan Resins Corporation. She was a faithful communicant of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Her husband of 64 years Felix, passed away on May 11, 2007. She leaves her loving daughter Linda Gagnon of Flagler Beach, Florida; cherished grandchildren Glenn Murphy and his wife Trish, their children Ethan and Olivia; David Murphy and his wife Danielle ; and her beloved sister Elsie Afonso of Northport, Florida. Sadly she was predeceased by her brother Aldo Piangerelli of Montgomery, VT. Funeral services for Ida will be held on Friday December 9, 2016 from the Ludlow Funeral Home. Visiting hours are Friday morning from 8:30-9:45am followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Cecilias Church at 10:30am followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
