Obituary for Ilda A. (Moura) Ferreira
Ilda A. (Moura) Ferreira, of Ludlow, Passed away peacefully on her 84th birthday, July 14, 2008. Born in Ludlow, she was a lifelong resident and a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. She worked for many years at Sunshine Art Studio before retiring in 1988. Ilda was a loving mother to Maria G. (Ferreira) Roy, and Isabel A. (Ferreira) Dumais and her husband Thomas, all of Indian Orchard, and the late Joao Ferreira; a dear sister to Isaura Pio, Aldina Carvalho, and Maria Carvalho and her husband Joaquim, all of Ludlow; a cherished grandmother to Angela (Roy) O’Brien and her husband Sean, and Jessica and Natasha Roy; a cherished great-grandmother to Colin O’Brien; and also leaves several nieces, nephews, family members and dear friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday morning at 8am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9am in Our Lady of Fatima Church followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visitation in on Wednesday from 4-7 pm and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ilda’s memory to West River Care Hospice 1 Charles River Place PO Box 811, Needham, Ma. 02494 or American Cancer Society 59 Bobala Road Holyoke, Ma. 01040-9658.
