Obituary for Ines (Da Silva) Dutra
Maria Ines (DaSilva) Dutra, 82, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Montalegre, Portugal, daughter of the late Jose & Virginia (Gomes) DaSilva, she immigrated to Ludlow where she settled to raise her family. Ines was a talented seamstress and in her spare time, she enjoyed listening to music and dancing. Ines was the beloved wife of the late Manuel Dutra, who predeceased her in 1995; a loving and devoted mother to Mariann Dinelle and husband Joshua, of Thorndike, Manuel Dutra, Jr. of VT, and Domingos Alves and wife Cila, of Monson; an adoring grandmother to Kevin Alves, Amanda Frye, Taylor Theriault, Rhea Dinelle, Marissa Dinelle, and the late Andrew Alves; cherished great-grandmother of Amelia, Chase, and Jace; dear sister of Arminda Fernandes and husband Dennis, Jose DaSilva and wife Idalina, Tony Silva and wife Maria, John Silva and wife Celeste, Abel DaSilva and wife Wilma, Frank DaSilva and wife Elizabeth, and the late Gualdina Surreira and widower Manuel Surreira, the late Emilia Fonseca and widower Joe, and Maria Isabel Teixeira and late husband Antonio; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services for Ines will be held on Friday August 3rd. Family and friends are asked to gather for a graveside services at 11:00 am in Island Pond Cemetery. At the family's request, please wear bright and happy colored attire to the services to celebrate the life of Ines and honor her love of bright colors. Ludlow Funeral Home has been entrusted with her care, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ines’s memory to the Mount Saint Vincent Patient Fund 35 Holy Family Road Holyoke, Ma. 01040.
