Obituary for Irene (Beaudreau) Letendre
Irene V. (Beaudreau) Letendre, 97, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2010. Born in Springfield, Ma., she lived most of her life in Ludlow where she was a faithful communicant of St. John the Baptist Church within the Catholic Community of St. Elizabeth. She worked for over 23 years at Rexcell Co. before retiring. Irene was the beloved wife of the late Edward Letendre, who predeceased her in 1984; a loving mother to Norman Letendre and wife Lorraine, of FL, Richard Letendre and wife Linda, of Springfield, Robert Letendre and wife Pamela, of Belchertown, Alice Forgione and husband Joseph, of Chicopee, Mary Anderson and husband Keith, of N.C., and the late Arthur Orville, who died in 2005, Yvonne Baillie, who died in 1997, and her infant son Gerard in 1942; a dear sister to Valeda DeVecchi, of Feeding Hills, and 4 late siblings; cherished grandmother of 21 and great-grandmother of (31); and also leaves many extended family members and dear friends including her brother-in-law John Haggarty of Ct. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 2nd, 2010 at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:00am in St. Elizabeth Church, with burial to follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Springfield. Visiting hours will be Wednesday evening from 4:00pm-7:00pm and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Irene’s memory to: St. Elizabeth Statue Fund, Hubbard St. Ludlow, MA. 01056.
