Obituary for Irene "Renie" Kowalski
Renie passed away on July 9, 2016, at the age of 85, just two months shy of her 86th birthday. She was the daughter of Abramo and Sylvia Fioravanti and the sister of Philip Fioravanti, Tillie Dube, Robert Fioravanti and Donald Fioravanti. She is survived by her four children, Susan Kowalski, Toni-Ann Narbonne, Mr. & Mrs. Jeffrey Kowalski, Mr. & Mrs. Todd Kowalski and her nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Born in Plainfield, NJ, she lived most of her life in Ludlow and went to Ludlow High School. While at LHS she participated inart, drama, chorus, dancing, cheerleading and was the first student co-producer of the Senior Show. Upon graduating she worked for a time at the New England Telephone Company until she married Stanley Kowalski (divorced). While raising her family she was also active in St. Mary’s Church in Ludlow and served many years in the church choir. She spent her later years enjoying time with her children, grandchildren and traveling.
There will be a private ceremony at the Ludlow Funeral Home and she will be buried at Island Pond Cemetery in Ludlow. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Fidelis Hospice, 25 Railroad Square, Suite 501, Haverhill, MA. 01832 online at fidelishospice.com
