Obituary for Isaura (Gil) daSilva
Isaura (Gil) daSilva, 87, of Indian Orchard was called home to be with God on Monday, January 3rd 2011. Born in Alcobaca, Portugal to the late Jose and Adalina (Martins) Gil, she has lived in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield since 1967 and was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Ludlow. Isaura was predeceased by her beloved husband Victor in 1997 as well as her sister Herminia Fonseca and a brother Joaquim Gil. She leaves her loving sisters; Victoria Silva, Celeste dosSantos and Justina Costa of Ludlow and Maria Venancio of Hampden along with several loving nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews throughout the community. Funeral services for Isaura will be held on Saturday, January 8th, 2011 at 8:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated in Our Lady of Fatima Church at 9:00am followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
