Obituary for Jacqueline (Boucher) Scyocurka
Our dear Mother Jacqueline Boucher Scyocurka has joined our Father Fred Scyocurka early this morning, Friday, September 22, 2023. Jacqueline was born and raised in Ludlow, MA. Jackie was the oldest daughter of Louis and Janet Boucher. She married our Dad in 1955 and they enjoyed 65 years of marriage. She was predeceased by Fred in 2020. Jackie is survived by her six children. Mark (Evelyn) Scyocurka, Michael (Carolyn) Scyocurka, Michelle (John) Roberts, Todd (Blake) Scyocurka, Christopher (Paige) Scyocurka and Greg (Anne) Scyocurka. Jackie was blessed to have seventeen grandchildren: Nicholas, Sydney, Sophia, Joshua, Lauren, Benjamin, Caroline, Laura, Sarah, Emily, Taylor, Chandler, Alexander, Nathan, Jillian, Daniel, and Kathryne, two great grandsons, Julian and Aiden and Jackie’s sister Paulette (Spike) Clancy and their daughter Maura. While raising the six children, Jackie also pursued her college education and graduated from AIC in 1972 with a double major in English and French. She taught in South Hadley School system for her career and like Fred, left lasting value to countless students. When she wasn’t in a classroom, she quietly watched her children compete in high school and college sports. Jackie was the perfect mom, wife, and role model. Jackie and Fred loved to compete with each other weekly watching “As Schools Match Wits” and “Jeopardy”. During the summers, Jackie loved their time at Cape Cod. She was a beautiful and thoughtful woman, who was loved by all of us. Funeral services for Jackie will be held on Saturday, September 30th 2023 at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Mass celebrated at 10:00am in Christ the King Church followed by burial in St. Peter’s and St. Paul’s Cemetery in Bondsville. Visiting Hours are Friday evening at the Funeral Home from 5:00pm-7:00pm
