Obituary for James A. Esteves

James A. Esteves, 63, of Ludlow, affectionately known as Jimmy, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2023 in Florida surrounded by his loving family. Jimmy was born on September 2, 1960 to Americo "Coco" Esteves and Carminda “Connie” (Pereira) Esteves. He was a graduate of Ludlow High School and longtime resident of Ludlow before moving to Arizona and eventually Ocala, FL. He had a fulfilling career, dedicating many years to working at Priority Mail Distribution and CF. Outside of his career, Jimmy had a variety of hobbies that brought him joy including traveling with his family and exploring different islands. He was an avid soccer fan, passionately following the US Women's Soccer Team, the Jr. Pioneers and most enjoyably his son’s soccer teams. He was also a handyman, taking on numerous projects around his home, however, his greatest source of pride and joy were his two grandchildren.

Jimmy will be deeply missed by his surviving family members, including his beloved wife Vicky (Stewart) Esteves, his daughter Kayla and husband Ryan, his son James Esteves, his grandchildren Bentley and Addison, his sister Debbie Esteves and her husband John Campbell, his sister Susie Esteves, as well as his cherished dogs Iker and Bailey and his cat Fonzie. He was preceded in death by his parents Americo and Carminda, and his loyal canine companion Jeter and his grandparents including his beloved Vo Albertina Pereira.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, October 15th, from 3:00-6:00pm at Ludlow Funeral Home. The funeral will be held on Monday, October 16th, at 9:00am from the funeral home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Elizabeth Parish, followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jimmy’s memory to the American Heart Association.
