Jim loved baseball and was a loyal Red Sox fan. He enjoyed his time at the Holyoke Soldiers Home where he was a bingo caller, belonged to the “smoking club” and was active in all events and outings. He leaves his beloved wife of 56 years Margaret (Barnett) Anderson of Springfield; loving children Robert O. Anderson and his wife Kimberly, Katherine J. Pedersen and her husband Christopher and Laura C. Cieplik and her husband Mark; 6 cherished grandchildren Tiffaney, Rachel, Eric, Matthew, Kiirsten and Erik as well as 5 great-grandchildren; and his brother Charles Anderson. Sadly James was predeceased by his son Richard in 1990 and a sister Helen Fontaine. Jim’s family would like to especially thank his extended “family” at the Holyoke Soldiers Home.
