Obituary for James E. O'Connell
James E. O’Connell Jr., 83 a longtime resident of Ludlow, was called back into God’s Care on Monday June 25, 2007 in Troy N.Y. Born in Ware, he retired from the Kaman Aerospace Corp. in Ct., and was a disabled WWII Army Air Corp Veteran. James lived in Ludlow for over 40 years and was a past member of the town’s Finance Committee, Recreation Committee and the Westover Golf Commission, as well as a communicant of Christ the King Church. His wife the former Ruth Turnquist died in 1983. He leaves a son James E. O’Connell III of Troy NY, and a daughter Katherine Corbin of Medford Or. Funeral Services will be Monday morning at 10 AM from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Christ the King Church at 11. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Monday morning only from 8:30-10 AM, and donations in his memory may be made to the St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis Tn. 38105. Â
