Obituary for Jane H. (Howes) Godin
Jane H. (Howes) Godin, 86, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2008. The daughter of the late Robert C. and Etta (Nye) Howes, she was a lifelong resident of Ludlow and a member of First Church of Ludlow. Her greatest joy in life was her family and visiting with family and friends. Jane was the beloved wife of the late Edward Godin, who predeceased her in 1983; a loving mother to Edward Godin and his wife Susan, of Ludlow, and Arthur Godin, of Stoneham, Ma.; a cherished grandmother to Lisa and Meg Godin and a dear sister to Beatrice Howe and Bernice Forslund, both of Ludlow, Robert, of CA, Paul, of Boston, Wilbur, of West Springfield, and the late Richard Howes; and also leaves many other loving family members and dear friends. Friends and family are asked to gather for funeral services on Friday morning. Chapel services will be at 11:00am in Ludlow Funeral Home with Reverend Frank Groggett officiating followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday evening from 4-7pm and if you choose, donations may be made in Jane’s memory to Ashfield Historical Society PO Box 277, Ashfield, Ma. 01330.
