Obituary for Jay Kamyk
Jay M. Kamyk, 41, of Ludlow, passed away on April 28, 2008.  Born in Holyoke, he grew up in Agawam and has lived in Ludlow for the past 10 years.  He was a 1985 graduate of Agawam High School and received degrees from Holyoke Community College and AIC.  He also was a Nascar enthusiast and spent many years as a member of the pit crew at Riverside Speedway in Agawam.  Jay was the type of neighbor and friend that rolled up his sleeves and helped wherever help was needed without being asked.  Jay was the beloved husband of Lori (Mosio) Kamyk; loving father to Sarah Brock and her Fiancée Chris Halama, of Ludlow; a cherished son of Michael Kamyk, of Agawam and the late Phyllis (Sieron) Kamyk; a dear brother to Steve Kamyk and his wife Dina, of Westfield, David Kamyk and his wife Lisa, of Worcester, Kevin Kamyk and his wife Sherry, of Rutland, VT., Lisa Johnson and her husband Robert, of Agawam, and Mary Walker and her husband Joseph, of Virginia.  He also leaves his father-in-law Edwin Mosio, of Springfield, brothers-in-law Glen Mosio and his wife Kathy, of Charleton, and Mark Mosio, of Springfield; as well as several nieces and nephews and many other dear family members and friends.  Funeral services will be on Friday morning at 9am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am in Christ the King followed by burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.  Visiting hours are on Thursday evening from 5-8pm.  Memorial donations may be made in Jay’s memory to American Cancer Society PO Box 22718 Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
