FUNERAL SERVICE UPDATE
A public Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 11th in Ludlow Funeral Home. Visiting hours will be held from 9:00-10:00am within services beginning at 10:15am. Due to family health concerns, Jean’s family has asked that masks be worn and social distancing restrictions be followed.

Jean (Taylor) Ferrier, 83, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2020, from advanced COPD. Born in Worcester, daughter of the late Roger B. Taylor and Marion (Jackson) Taylor/DePasquale, she attended American International College, earning a degree in English, and she went on to be an educator in the Ludlow Public Schools from 1961 to 2001, earning her Master’s Degree in Reading, and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Special Education along the way. She worked as a First Grade teacher, a ParaProfessional, a Special Education teacher, and a Preschool screener, and affected the lives of hundreds of children over her career. Jean was an avid seamstress, and made inventive clothing when she was younger, and beautiful quilts after retirement. Jean was the beloved wife of the late Morrison G. Ferrier, who predeceased her in 2015; A loving mother to Andrew J. Ferrier and partner Heather Truelove, and Heather Ferrier-Bacon and her partner, James Sicard. She was an adoring grandmother to Zachary and Joseph Ferrier, Cameron Bacon, and Skyler, Kaitlyn, and Brittany Park. Jean leaves behind her brother, Peter Taylor, and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends.
A public Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 11th in Ludlow Funeral Home. Visiting hours will be held from 9:00-10:00am within services beginning at 10:15am. Due to family health concerns, Jean’s family has asked that masks be worn and social distancing restrictions be followed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean’s memory to Union Church of Christ Ludlow MA and The Lung Association.
