Obituary for Jeanne Letourneau
Jeanne M. Letourneau, 77, a resident of Ludlow, passed to her eternal rest on Monday, December 21, 2020, under the care of Baystate Hospice in Springfield, MA. Born in Worcester, MA on August 5, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Ralph Letourneau and Eva Alice (Coderre) Letourneau. She was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst (BS, MS). Jeanne was a senior microbiologist for Boston Children’s Hospital for over 30 years, retiring in 2011. She resided for many years in Quincy MA where she had many good friends. She loved to travel and circled the globe with her closest friend Pauline. She was an avid reader and puzzle solver. She loved Wheel of Fortune, Masterpiece Theater, mysteries and really bad monster movies. She was an exceptional aunt to her nieces and nephews (Paula, Lisa, Shawn, Meg, Julie, Lee, Nicole and Bobbie) and generous to all who knew her. Jeanne was predeceased by her parents, Eugene and Eva Letourneau. She is survived by her Sister Susan Godin and brothers Charles, John and Robert Letourneau, along with their families. Services will be private and Ludlow Funeral Home has been entrusted with her arrangements. Donations in her memory may be made to the Baystate Health Foundation in support of Rays of Hope, 280 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA 01199.
