Obituary for Jeanne M. (Lambert) Strycharz
Jeanne M.(Lambert) Strycharz, 73, of Ludlow, passed away on April 15, 2010. Born in Springfield, daughter of the late Ernest L. and Marie(Higgins) Lambert, she lived most of her life in Ludlow. Jeanne received her teaching degree from Westfield State College and spent her entire career as a librarian and classroom teacher for the Wilbraham school system. She served as president of the Wilbraham Teachers' Association and belonged to the Massachusetts Teachers Association. She had a passion for reading and sharing her books and loved spending time at her vacation home in Hills Beach, ME. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. Jeanne was the beloved wife of the late Francis "Strickey" Strycharz who predeceased her in 2001; a loving mother to Gerald Strycharz and wife Patricia, John Strycharz and wife Virginia, Beth Liberty and husband Bill, all of Ludlow, and the late Jimmy Strycharz who predeceased her in 1998; a sister to her twin brother Ernest Lambert and wife Florence, of Springfield, Paul Lambert and wife Bernice of FL, and her late triplet siblings; a cherished grandmother to Jeffrey, Mark, Nicole, Brian, Joshua, and Katimae. She also leaves several nieces and nephews and dear friends Dolores, Ellen, Barbara, Sharon, Pat, and Jackie and her pets Sadie and McKenna. Visiting hours to celebrate Jeanne's life will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2010, from 5-7pm at Ludlow Funeral Home. Committal services in St. Aloysius Cemetery will be held privately.
