Obituary for Jeraldine Miccoly
Jeraldine (Smus) Miccoly passed away on the beautiful sunny day of November 14, 2010 in Bradenton Florida. She was born on Dec 5, 1942 in Springfield to Estelle Smus and the late Edward Smus. She married her high school sweetheart Robert P. Miccoly Sr. and they have enjoyed 50 wonderful years together. She raised three children: Robert Jr. (Bobby) who stayed by her side and she loved so dearly. Peter Miccoly and wife Tamara and their children Gregory, David, Peter Jr. and Genna. Her beloved daughter Bonnie Massoia and her favorite son in law Scott from Feeding Hills and her three cherished grandchildren Anthony who was the love of her life, Angelina who she was so proud of and her little Marysa who was her “sweet pea”. She is predeceased by her brother David Smus and sister Gloria Jurkowski. She was also blessed to have Mary Ann Malesta and Gail Sherman along with her many loving Florida friends who were like family. Jerry retired from Friendly Ice Cream Corp. in 1997 and enjoyed golfing and spending winters in Palmetto Florida. Jerry was a lady who put her family and others first and was always able to put a smile on your face. We will miss you and love you more than words can say. Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 20th, 2010 from the Ludlow Funeral Home. Family and friends are asked to gather at First Church of Ludlow for a 10:00am service celebrated by Reverend Frank Groggett, followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday evening from 4:00-7:00pm at Ludlow Funeral Home, 432 East St. and in lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jerry’s memory to: Shriners Hospital For Children, 516 Carew St. Springfield, MA. 01104.
