Obituary for Joan Elizabeth (Rogers) Sullivan
Joan Elizabeth Sullivan, 78, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Palmer Health Care Center on Tuesday, December 27, 2011. Joan was the daughter of the late Howard Rogers and Margaret (Watson) Rogers. She was born in Yonkers, NY, on September 17, 1933. She moved to Ludlow in 1964 and lived there for 47 years. She later moved to Warren, Ma where she lived with her Daughter Tina and Granddaughter Krystal who cared for her. She worked as an injection mold operator at the Milton Bradley Co, in East Longmeadow, Ma, for 22 years. Joan was predeceased by her Husband of 40 yrs. Harold J. Sullivan; her four Brothers: Howard W. Rogers, Jr., Frederick Rogers, John R. Rogers, and Joseph W. Rogers; and four Sisters: Gladys Weeks, Margaret Dunn, Edith Wheeler, and Patsy Muzynski. She leaves her Sons Richard A. Rogers and Wife Elizabeth, of Brimfield, Ma., Bill Sullivan, of East Hampton, Ma., Robert F. Sullivan-Neer and Husband Matthew Neer-Sullivan, of Ohio, her Daughters Linda A. Shields, of Palmer, Ma., Tina Plasse, of Warren, Ma., and Mary M. Sullivan, of Ct, and a Sister Agnes V. White and Husband Larry White, Sr., of Chicopee, Ma. Calling hours for Joan will be on Friday evening, December 30, 2011, from 4:00-6:00pm at Ludlow Funeral Home concluding with a Funeral Service at 6:00pm. Burial will be held privately by the family in Island Pond Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joan’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association 264 Cottage St. Springfield, Ma 01104.
