Obituary for Joan "Nicki" McGinn
Joan M. “Nicki” (Bickel) McGinn, of Ludlow, died Thursday October 4, 2007, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Westfield, the daughter of Clarence and Berthola (McCarthy) Bickel, she lived in Ludlow for over 39 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years John McGinn, as well as a son Martin Nofio and his wife Caroline of Warren, a daughter Kim Nofio of NY City, 2 sisters Dee Hackett and her husband James of Florida and Martha Oppenheimer and her husband Don of Ct. 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. “Nicki” was also predeceased by a daughter Sherry Nofio in April and a son Roy Bickel in August. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Baystate Hospice, especially Margaret Dane, for the kind and comforting care that was shown to “Nicki”.
