Obituary for Joanne (Wcislo) Rae
Joanne (Wcislo) Rae, 63, of Ludlow was called home to be with God on Saturday, November 21st, 2009. Born in Ludlow to the late Joseph and Bella (Trela) Wcislo, she was a lifelong resident and a faithful communicant of Christ the King Parish. Joanne was a 1964 graduate of Classical High School in Springfield and worked for over 30 years at Janlynn Corporation in Chicopee. She, along with her former husband William Rae, co-founded Bill’s Tire and Trailer in Ludlow, which is now in its second generation of ownership. Joanne leaves her beloved children; David Rae of Indian Orchard, Daniel Rae of Ludlow, and Darlene Rae of Ludlow; her caring brother Lawrence Wcislo and his wife Charlene of Springfield; her godchildren Anthony Wescott, Melanie Dufour and Jeffrey Wakem; caring niece Corrina Wcislo of Monson, along with her great-niece and nephew Harleigh and Tyler Kwasnik. Joanne will be sadly missed by her best friend Barbara Wakem. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 25th, 2009 at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:00am in Christ the King Church followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours for family and friends will be Tuesday evening from 4:00-8:00pm.Â
