Obituary for Joaquim "Jack" Francisco
Joaquim “Jack” Francisco, 78, of Ludlow was called home to be with god on Sunday February 22, 2009. Born in Obidos, Portugal to the late Tomas and Ana (Duarte) Francisco he has lived in Ludlow since 1961. Jack was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Parish and a proud member of the Gremio Lusitano Club. He worked for various construction companies over the years, he was a member of the International Laborers Union Local 999 and retired from the Palmer Paving Corporation in 1990 after 20 years of dedicated services. He enjoyed the outdoors and the time he spent pheasant hunting with his faithful dogs. He leaves his beloved wife of 54 years Maria Emilia (Ganhao) Francisco of Ludlow; loving sons Fernando Francisco, Joseph Francisco and his wife Ana and Victor Francisco and his fiancé Lisa Vital all of Ludlow; cherished grandchildren Nicole, Lauren, Joseph Michael, Alexandra, Danielle and Nathan; his caring sister Maria Fernanda Leal of Ludlow and his brothers who have predeceased him, Jose, Joao, Antonio and Manuel as well as several nieces and nephews throughout the community. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 26th at 8:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial beginning at 9:00am in our Lady of Fatima Church followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours are Wednesday evening from 4-7pm.
