Obituary for John J. Sheehan
John J. “Joe” Sheehan, 73, of Springfield passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 10th, 2008. Born in Springfield to the late Cornelius J. and Ellen (Crowley) Sheehan, he was a life long Springfield resident. John served his country honorably in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and worked for Pratt and Whitney and the former Dan Wesson Arms for many years. John leaves his beloved wife of 50 years; Joyce (Deraleau) Sheehan of Springfield; loving sons Michael J. Sheehan, Jeffrey A. Sheehan and Kevin J. Sheehan all of Springfield; 10 cherished grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and his caring sister Mary Liquori of West Springfield. John was predeceased by his daughter Deborah J. Sheehan and brothers Cornelius J. and James F. Sheehan. Ludlow Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements and committal services with Military Honors will take place on Wednesday July 16th 2008 at 10:00am at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
