Jorge F. Teixeira, aged 46, of Ludlow Massachusetts, unexpectedly passed away on October 26, 2023. Born July 23, 1977 in Springfield Massachusetts, Jorge’s life was a testament to his love of family, friends and community.
Jorge graduated from Central High School in 1995 and went on to earn a certificate from Porter and Chester Technical School. After completing the Porter and Chester program, he joined Sears & Roebuck (now Transformco) where he had a long and successful career. His dedication and professionalism earned him the respect and admiration of his customers and colleagues.
Jorge was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church and Gremio Lusitano. He was a man of exceptional character, known for his kind heart and gentle nature. He touched the lives of many with his genuine warmth and unwavering kindness, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
Jorge had a smile, a wink, and laugh that could lift anyone’s mood. He was famous for his bear hugs that warmed the heart. He had times of great playfulness – with his wife and children, with his friends and extended family. Above all, Jorge cherished his role as Dad to his two girls, embracing the joys of fatherhood with unwavering love and devotion.
Whether you were a long-time buddy or someone he just met, Jorge was able to start up a conversation. People will remember him for his humor and for love, loyalty, and respect. He had a passion for cars and the ability to fix pretty much any machine. And, he was quick to offer his skills to family, friends, neighbors or the person he just met at Cumbies. He touched the lives of many with his genuine warmth and unwavering kindness.
Jorge leaves his beloved wife of 13 years Kimberly (Shaffer-Whiting) Teixeira, with whom he shared a deep and abiding love. Together, they built a beautiful family, raising their daughters, Charlotte and Eleanor with boundless love and care. He also leaves his devoted and loving parents Armindo and Joaquina (Lage) Teixeira (both originally from Montalegre, Portugal.) He was pre-deceased by his cherished brother David Teixeira and caring cousin Cristina Surreira. He will be lovingly remembered by his godchildren Joey and Xander and godparents Luisa and Antonio. He leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many cherished friends who are too numerous to mention.
Funeral services for Jorge will be held on Thursday November 2, 2023. Visiting hours are from 8:00-10:30am in Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:30am in Our Lady of Fatima Church, followed by burial at Island Pond Cemetery.
