Obituary for Jose Fonseca
Jose Fonseca, 88 , of Ludlow, died unexpectedly on Monday October 12, 2009. A lifelong resident of Ludlow, he served his country proudly, with the US Navy in WW II from Guadal Canal to Tokyo Bay. Jose was a retired employee of Monsanto Co. and belonged to its 25 year club. He was a communicant of Christ the King Church and also the Ludlow Senior Center. His wife the former Stacia Matuszewski, predeceased him in 2006, and he is survived by his two daughters; Bonnie Fonseca of Ludlow and Christine Mulak of Somers, Ct. as well as 2 grandchildren; Edward and Robert. Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 8:30 AM from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Christ the King Church at 9:30, followed by burial with military honors in Hillcrest Park Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday evening from 4-7 PM at Ludlow Funeral Home.
