Obituary for Jose Luis Balbino
Jose Balbino, 75, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, with his loving family by his side. Born in Evora, Alcobaca, Portugal, to the late Joaquim and Gertrudes Teresa Balbino, he immigrated to the United States and has lived Indian Orchard & Ludlow since 1966 where he was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church and a proud member of the Gremio Lusitano Club, as well as the Jose Society. Â Jose worked for 35 years at Danaher Tooling Group in Springfield before his retirement in 1999. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren & working in his gardens. He leaves his beloved wife of 53 years Maria (Tereso) Balbino of Ludlow; loving sons Fernando Balbino and his wife Alda of Ludlow & Jorge Balbino and his wife Michelle of Wilbraham; cherished grandchildren Kimberly, Justin & Jake whom will miss him dearly; his dear sisters Maria Balbino , Rosinda Bento, Adelia Carlos & his brothers Fernando & Tony Balbino, all of Ludlow. He had several nieces, nephews, Godchildren & family and friends throughout the community whom will always remember his quick smile and generous heart. Funeral services for Jose will be held on Saturday, March 23rd, 2013 at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday evening from 4:00-7:00pm.
