Obituary for Jose M Ovelheiro
Jose M. Ovelheiro, 52, of Ludlow was called home to be with God on Saturday March 11, 2023. Born in Nazare Portugal to Jose and Rosa (Horta) Ovelheiro, he has lived in Ludlow for many years. He loved reading comics, and was an avid Batman fan. He also loved watching the New England Patriots play and was a fan of Rock n’ Roll music. Joe loved bodybuilding and worked out for many years. Joe was known for his time spent working for True Value, Home Depot, and Rocky’s Ace Hardware. Joe was the beloved husband to Maria (Tina), father to Bryan and Kayla, father-in-law to Leslie and Tiago, son of Jose and Rosa, brother to Idalina and Chris, and uncle to Kristiana and Alex, as well as many nieces and nephews in Portugal. Joe loved and adored his family, and his family will love and remember him forever. Visiting hours for Joe will be held Wednesday evening March 15th from 5:00-7:00pm at the Funeral Home. A Liturgy of Christian Mass will take place on Thursday March 16th at 10:00am in St. Elizabeth's Church in Ludlow and everyone is asked to meet directly at church Thursday morning. Joe’s Funeral Mass is open to the public but at the request of his family his burial at the cemetery will be private. It was the wish of Joe's family that in lieu of flowers please make donations in his memory to: ShrinerChildren'sHospital@www.shrinerschildrens.org.
