Obituary for Jose Pereira
Jose Pereira, 88, of Ludlow was called home to be with God on Monday February 22nd, 2021. Born in Vale de Anta, Portugal to the late Vitor and Maria Pereira, he worked as a Police Officer in Portugal and emigrated to the United States in 1972 and settled in Ludlow in 1977. Jose was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church and worked as a mechanic for Springfield Wire. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, long walks and taking family vacations to Rocky Neck and Mountain Park. He leaves his wife Constanca Rita (Evangelista) Pereira of Ludlow; loving children Carlos Pereira, Paul Pereira and his wife Jackie Brousseau-Pereira, Mario Pereira and his partner Donna Hiersche and Lillianna Pereira and her husband Robert Piotrowski; adored granddaughters Nina, Rita, Kate and Lucia; dear siblings Joaquim Pereira, Ester Cardozo and adoptive brother Antonio Martins, sadly Jose was predeceased by his brother Luis Pereira and Joao Alves Pereira. Funeral services for Jose were held privately by his family and Ludlow Funeral Home has been entrusted with his arrangements.
