Funeral services for Jose will be held on Thursday October 23, 2014 at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Parish followed by burial in Most Holy Redeemer Mausoleum at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Jose Soares, 69, of Ludlow was called home to be with God on Saturday October 18, 2014. Born in Barrio, Alcobaca, Portugal to the late Joao and Maria (Correira) Soares he has lived in Ludlow since 1971 and was a former communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. Jose enjoyed wine making and was an avid hunter but his greatest joy in life was the time he spent with his adored grandson Matthew at Salisbury Beach. Jose leaves his loving son Marc Soares his wife Kristine and their son Matthew of Salisbury; his former wife Maria Celeste Soares of Portugal; his caring brothers and sisters all in Portugal, Joao Soares, Carlos Soares, Alice Cruz and Yvette Soares as well as his many cherished friends in Ludlow.
