Joseph C. Atwell, 63, formerly of Springfield, MA passed away on November 21, 2012Â at home in Pineville, NC. Born on December 31, 1948 in Hartford, CT to the late Cliff and Irene Atwell. Joseph grew up in Ludlow, MA He attended both Ludlow and Springfield schools. Joe worked many years as a machinist. He leaves his daughters Heather Faulkner of Fort Mill, SC, Sarah Atwell of Methuen, MA and three cherished grand-daughters, Madyson, Ella and Riley Faulkner of Fort Mill, SC. Also his sisters, Donna Atwell of Homosassa, FL, Denise Kertenis of Wilbraham, MA, Darlene Hurley of Shackelfords, VA, Sara Atwell of Oceanside, CA and brother, David Atwell of West Springfield, MA. Joe loved flowers and enjoyed working in the garden. He was a gentle and quiet man, and will be greatly missed.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 11:00am in Island Pond Cemetery, Ludlow.
