Obituary for Joseph H. "Joe" Gurski
Joseph H. “Joe” Gurski, 90, of Ludlow, ascended into the Journey of Everlasting Life on Wednesday, December 9, 2009. Born in Ludlow to the late Gregorz and Rozalia (Kuzik) Gurski, he was a graduate of Ludlow High School and lived here most of his life. Joseph was a United States Army Veteran proudly serving his country during WWII. Joseph worked as a cost accountant at the former Chapman Valve Crane Co. in Indian Orchard. After retirement, he and his wife, Brunilde, owned and ran J&B Realty for several years. He was a longtime member of Ludlow Country Club where he greatly enjoyed golfing with his many “golf buddies”. Joe also enjoyed fishing with his son Jeffrey at Quabbin , where he once lived in the town of Enfield, Ma before it was flooded to establish the reservoir. He was a devoted grandfather who spent many special times watching his grandchildren play soccer and basketball. Joseph was the beloved husband of the late Brunilde (Focosi) Gurski, who predeceased him in 1995; a loving father to Grant Gurski and wife Camelia, of Mooresville, NC, Jeffrey Gurski and wife Teresa, of Wilbraham, and Karen Williamson and husband Raymond, of Ludlow; a dear brother to the late Frank, Adeline, Ted, John, May, Casmir, and Alexander; cherished grandfather to Brian, Matthew and Haley Gurski, Kara, Megan, and Jenna Williamson, and Alaina Gurski; and also leaves several other loving family members and dear friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 11am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12pm in Christ the King Church followed by burial with Military Honors in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday evening from 4 - 7pm.
