Obituary for Joseph Picariello
Joseph S. Picariello, 79, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on with his loving family by his side. Born in Boston to the late Joseph and Jennie (Pepe) Picariello, he was raised in East Boston and was a 1949 graduate of East Boston High School. Joseph has lived in Ludlow since 1977 and was a faithful communicant of the former St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church and currently St. Elizabeth Church both in Ludlow. He was a Vice President at the the former National Blankbook Company before retiring in 1992. Joseph leaves his beloved wife of 60 years Rita (Mc Stowe) of Ludlow; loving children Richard Picariello and wife Constance of Bonita Springs, FL., Robert Picariello and wife Joan of Charlton, Ronald Picariello and wife Marilyn of Norton, Donald Picariello and wife Cindy of Ludlow and Deborah Gelinas and her husband Dennis also of Ludlow; 16 cherished grandchildren, 3 great-granddaughters and a great-grandson; his caring brother William Picariello and his wife Nellie of Chelmsford and sadly predeceased by his brother Charles Picariello in 2011. Funeral services celebrating Joseph’s life will be held on Tuesday September 27th, 2011 at 8:00am from Ludlow Funeral Home followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated in St Elizabeth Church at 9:00am burial will follow in Island Pond Cemetery.
