Obituary for Josue N. Tereso
Josue N. Tereso, 78, of Ludlow, was called to Heaven on December 14, 2009. Born in Portugal, the son of the late Manuel and Ana (Nogueira) Tereso, he came to Chicopee in 1968 where he was a proud member of the Chicopee Portuguese American Club and then to Ludlow in 1987 where he was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. He worked for many years at the former Easco Tool Co. before his retirement. Josue was the beloved husband of 55 years to Maria Tereso; a loving father to Rui Tereso, of London, John Tereso, of Ludlow, Claudio Tereso and his wife Barbara, of Holliston, and Maria Odete Tereso, of Chicopee; a dear brother to Engracia Traquina and Ana Santos, both of Chicopee; and cherished grandfather to Lila and Ashley Tereso. He also leaves many other loving family members and dear friends. Funeral services are on Friday at 9am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Mary of the Assumption Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday evening from 5-8pm.
