Obituary for Joy Mary Kulis
Joy Mary Kulis, daughter of the late Harold V. Dennis and Dorothy Joy Dennis, passed way the morning of June 11, 2013, surrounded by her loving family and devoted husband of 64 years, Chester Kulis. Joy was a faithful communicant of Christ the King Church and belonged to the Daughters of Christ the King and Perpetual Adoration. Joy was predeceased by family members who now welcome her to afterlife. They include her grandson Brian D. Page (2005), brother William Dennis and most recently her sister Dawn Dennis (2012). Her courage, strength and firecracker spirit will be missed by the surviving members of her family. Her husband Chester of Ludlow; loving daughter Melody Page and her husband Dennis of Ludlow, loving son Randy Kulis and his wife Michelle of Ludlow; caring brothers Harold Dennis and wife Patricia of Palmer, Gerard Dennis and wife Karen of East Thompson, CT, and Daniel Dennis of Ware. She leaves many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will miss her tenderness; Joel Page and Gina of Feeding Hills and their children Cole, Sienna, Aidan and Laine; Kristopher and Elizabeth Page of Ludlow, and their children Luke, Toby and Lily Grace; Brian Page (2005) and his son Andrew. She will fondly be remembered for providing a place for hearts and beautiful flowers to grow during the many summers at grandma Joy's pool. Also remembered for her hard work and great love of cooking and baking, she established the landmark restaurant Joy's in 1984 which still carries her name and taste for home cooked meals to this day. Funeral services for Joy will be held on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 11:30 am from the Ludlow Funeral Home followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Christ the King Church at 12:30 with burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday evening from 5:00-7:00pm.
