Obituary for Joyce (Deraleau) Sheehan
Joyce (Deraleau) Sheehan, 71, lifelong resident of Springfield passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday October 9, 2012. Born in Springfield to the late Raymond and Dulcie (Chadwick) Deraleau, she worked as a purchaser for Dan Wesson Firearms for many years. Joyce enjoyed bowling, bingo, NASCAR, was an expert crafter and enjoyed spending time and watching game shows with her best friend Linda Strange, but the greatest joy in her life was the time spent with her children and grandchildren. Joyce leaves her loving sons; Michael, Jeffrey and Kevin of Springfield, cherished grandchildren; Joseph, Jamie, Brittany, Irene, Margaret, Eric, Madison, Rylie, Alex and Kyle; her brother Donald and his wife Eileen of Longmeadow and a sister Christine Carpin and husband Robert of Chicopee as well as extended family and numerous friends and neighbors. Sadly Joyce was predeceased by her beloved husband John, her daughter Deborah Jean and a brother Robert Deraleau. Â Visiting hours are Wednesday evening October 17, 2012 from 5:00-6:45pm from the Ludlow Funeral Home, followed by a celebration of life service at 6:45pm. Burial will take place Thursday October 18, 2012 at 9:00am in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.Â
