Obituary for Judith Dobek
Judith Ann Dobek, 80, of Ludlow passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday October 15, 2022. Born in Ludlow to the late Christopher and Beatrice (Gomes-Marques) Lima. She was a graduate of Ludlow High School and she worked for over 45 years as a hairdresser and owner of Judith’s Coiffures. She was a proud member of both the Polish Americans Citizens Club, where she volunteered on Bingo nights as well as a member of the former Portuguese American Citizens Club. She was a faithful communicant of Immaculate Conception Church and often volunteered making Pierogies at both Immaculate Conception and Christ the King Parishes. Much of her time was spent volunteering and enjoying friends at the Ludlow Senior Center. Judy enjoyed lunches and shopping with her friends, her casino trips, spending time in Maine, especially Christmas Prelude in Kennebunkport, and happy hours with family, friends and whoever was available. Judy loved to cook and bake and especially enjoyed making birthday cakes for her grandchildren and extended family. She loved decorating her home, especially during the holidays, and relaxing by the pool. Judy loved watching and supporting the teams that her grandchildren played for. Judy was predeceased by her husband Henry. She leaves behind her loving sons Brian Dobek (Anna), Paul Dobek (Mary); adored grandchildren Nick, Jessica and Sophia; caring brother Christopher Lima (Gail), as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends. It was Judy’s wish that donations be made in her memory to: The Friends of the Ludlow Senior Center. Funeral services celebrating Judy’s life will be held on Friday October 21, 2022 at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Mass at 10:00am in Immaculate Conception Church, followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday evening, October 20th from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home.
