Obituary for Judith "Judy" (Fehr) Hollenbeck
Judith “Judy” (Fehr) Hollenbeck, age 78, of Chicopee, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2021 at Mercy Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Howard and Marcella (King) Fehr. Before returning to Massachusetts in October, Judy lived in Cheektowaga, New York for many years, a place near and dear to her heart. She was the much-loved mother to: Karen Hart of Mashpee, Ma., Gary Hollenbeck and his wife Kim of Chicopee, Ma., and Deanna Acquafresca and her husband Richie of Milford, Ma., cherished grandmother to: Jackie, Meghan, Sierra, Jordan, Shannon, Shane, Conor, Madison, Aleah, and Giovanni; Great Grandmother to: Logan, Hayden, Preston, Dexter, Damian, Bellamy and Fox; Sibling to: Robert (Patty) Fehr, Janet (Robert) Moxley and Sandy McKay. Judy also leaves many nieces and nephews all of whom she enjoyed staying in touch with. Her niece, Denise Schmitt, had a special place in Judy’s heart. The two developed a special bond while Denise helped Judy as she became unable to do some things on her own. In addition to family, Judy had many close friends who she remained close to until the very end. She was welcomed into heaven by her daughter Catherine Carroll, grandson Michael Carroll, siblings: Richard, Donald and Howard, brother-in-law Milton McKay, son-in-law Jack Hart and former husband Jerry Hollenbeck. A very special thank you goes out to Judy’s sister, Sandy McKay for all the help she gave Judy on a daily basis. Judy appreciated this more than anyone can possibly imagine. Judy’s family would like to thank everyone at Mercy Hospital, in Springfield Massachusetts for the exceptional care she was given during her final days.
