Obituary for Julia A. (Santos) Gajewski
Julia A. (Santos) Gajewski, 86, of Ludlow, was called to Heaven on September 21, 2007. Born in Ludlow, the daughter of the late Anibal and Ana (Dos Fonseca) Santos, she was a lifelong resident and a worked for many years at Westinghouse before her retirement. Julia was the beloved wife of the late John Gajewski, who predeceased her in 1991; a dear sister to Carlos Santos, Idalina Oliveira, Micquelina Silva, all of Ludlow, Ascidia Tarbox, of California, and the late Simon Santos, Morris Santos, Teresa Harasik and Hilda Belisle; and was a loving aunt and friend to many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends including her dear cousin Anne Arcobello and her husband Mario. Funeral services will be on Tuesday morning with chapel services at 10am in Ludlow Funeral Home followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours are on Monday evening from 5-7pm and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Julia’s memory to Baystate VNA and Hospice PO Box 9058 Springfield, Ma. 01102-9058 or Alzheimer’s Association 264 Cottage St. Springfield, Ma. 01119.
