Obituary for Julia A. Twarog
Julia A. Twarog, 94, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2008. Born in Ludlow, daughter of the late John and Mary (Such) Zych, she moved to Springfield in 1936 where she was a faithful communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church. She was also a member of the Ludlow Senior Center. Julia was the beloved wife of the late Theodore Twarog, who predeceased her in 1974; the loving mother of Theodore Twarog Jr. and his wife Susan, of Barre, Ma., and Paul Twarog, of Springfield; the dear sister of Bernice Ceberek, Stella Zych, Helen Popko and the late Ann Bania and Josephine Jeserski; a cherished grandmother to Elizabeth Twarog and her husband William Schultheiss, Peter Twarog and his wife Emily and Matthew Twarog and his wife Jesse and great-grandmother of Nathan, Samuel, Leah, Benjamin, Andrew, Seth, Owen and Mika Jane. Funeral services are on Friday morning at 9:00am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Catherine of Siena Church followed by burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery. Visiting hours are on Thursday from 5-8pm.
