Obituary for Julia C. Szczepanek
Julia C Szczepanek, 86, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025 after a long illness. Born in Pennsylvania to the late Julian and Feliksa (Mruczkowski) Ciurzycki, she was the youngest of five children and her family moved to Westfield when she was very young. Julie was a life-long area resident and a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church. She worked for various manufacturing companies, including the former Westinghouse and Steiger’s Department Store, where she worked in the warehouse office for 14 years and retired from Tyco Medical Products in 2004. Julie loved cooking and baking for her beloved husband and family. She also enjoyed sewing and watching her Law & Order shows, but her greatest joy was being with her family, especially her grandchildren Hunter and Jessyca.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edward, her parents and four siblings. Julie leaves her daughter Deanna Bingham and son-in-law Reginald of Ludlow; two grandchildren, Hunter and Jessyca Bingham, and several extended family members.
Visitation for Julia will be held on Tuesday, August 5th from 5:00 to 6:30pm at Ludlow Funeral Home concluding with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 6:30pm. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of her family and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Julia’s memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
